Hi Just Breathe Family,
As we head into the busy Fourth of July weekend, we wanted to remind you that we're here in the office this week if your body needs a little extra support before all the summer fun begins! With warmer temperatures, hydration becomes more important than ever. A good rule to remember is: if you're already thirsty, you're already behind on hydration. Try to sip water consistently throughout the day instead of waiting until you feel thirsty.A few healthy summer reminders: Drink plenty of water and replenish your electrolytes, especially if you're exercising, playing tennis, hiking, or spending time outdoors. Be mindful of the sun. Wear a hat, use sunscreen, and take breaks in the shade. Know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat exhaustion may cause heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps, and fatigue. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can include confusion, a high body temperature, hot skin, or loss of consciousness. If you suspect heat stroke, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Listen to your body. If you're feeling run down, overheated, or your nervous system feels stressed, don't ignore the warning signs. If you'd like to get adjusted before your holiday travels or activities, we'd love to see you this week. A healthy, well-regulated nervous system helps your body adapt to stress, recover more efficiently, and enjoy everything summer has to offer.Wishing you and your family a safe, healthy, and joyful Fourth of July!
With gratitude,
